Every GL line classified into the five IFRS 18 categories

IFRS 18 changes how the income statement is presented — mandatory subtotals, categorised income and expenses, and reconciled management performance measures. Hive18 builds it all on one classified dataset, audit-traceable by line.

  • Operating · Main business activity
  • Investing · Returns from separate assets
  • Financing · Liabilities to providers
  • Income taxes · Current & deferred
  • Discontinued ops · IFRS 5 scope

Hive18 is an enterprise financial reporting platform that automates the transition from IAS 1 to IFRS 18, generating defined P&L subtotals, MPM reconciliations, and audit-ready disclosure notes directly from ERP feeds.

Capabilities

From GL extract to audit-ready financial statements

A single classified dataset drives classification, subtotals, MPM reconciliation and disclosures — with the rules held as data your policy team controls.

  • GL classification engine

Classifies every GL line by nature × activity into the five IFRS 18 categories — across multi-entity, multi-industry groups.

  • Mandatory subtotals

Builds the subtotals IFRS 18 requires — Operating → PBFIT → PBT → Net Profit — enforced automatically, not assembled by hand.

  • MPM reconciliation

Auto-bridges each management performance measure to its comparable IFRS subtotal, with tax and NCI adjustments shown line by line.

  • FS, notes & MPM generator

Generates financial statements, notes and MPM disclosures from one classified dataset — a single source, not five workbooks.

  • Rules as data

Classification logic lives in tables your policy team edits directly — change the rules without an engineering release.

  • Multi-activity ready

The same GL line can fall into different categories per entity profile — so a group with mixed activities classifies correctly everywhere.

How it works

Extract · Classify · Subtotal · Disclose · Audit

  1. 01

    GL extract

Account · entity · dimension · instrument — the source data comes in as it sits in the ledger.

  2. 02

    Classify

Nature × activity → the five IFRS 18 categories, applied per entity profile.

  3. 03

    Subtotal builder

Operating → PBFIT → PBT → Net Profit — mandatory subtotals built automatically.

  4. 04

    FS · notes · MPMs

Statements, notes and MPMs generated from a single classified dataset.

  5. 05

    Audit trail

Maker–checker controls and full lineage — traceable by line.

Frequently asked

What reporting teams ask about Hive18

  • How does Hive18 automate the classification of items into Operating, Investing and Financing categories?

Classification is rules-as-data: every GL line is mapped to one of the five IFRS 18 categories — operating, investing, financing, income taxes and discontinued operations — by rules your policy team owns and can edit without a code release. Groups whose entities have different main business activities are handled per entity, and every classified line keeps its lineage under a maker–checker trail.

  • Can Hive18 generate audit-trailed reconciliation disclosures for Management-Defined Performance Measures (MPMs)?

Yes. MPMs are reconciled to the most comparable IFRS subtotal from the same classified dataset that produces the primary statements, and the reconciliation tables, notes and disclosure text generate alongside them. Because it is one dataset with maker–checker sign-off, every disclosed figure ties back line by line.

  • How does Hive18 integrate with existing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) without breaking the current Chart of Accounts?

Hive18 consumes a GL extract and layers classification rules on top, so your chart of accounts stays exactly as it is — the rules map to your accounts rather than the accounts being restructured. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Sage or any other ledger connects through the platform's ETL and CSV import specs, and nothing is written back to the source system.

Be ready for IFRS 18 before it's mandatory.
